Volkswagen targets mass production of electric cars.

Volkswagen concept is set to become the first largest producer of electric cars in the world, also making plans to raise annual production of electric cars to 2 million by 2025, from 30,000 in 2018, despite its cost, power inconvenience and lack of range attached to it.



The German giant has staked its future, to the tune of 80 billion euros ($91 billion), on being able to profitably mass-produce electric vehicles – a feat no carmaker has come close to achieving.

VW brand chief Herbert Diess has stated their vision is to flood the market with their brands when the demand is needed. and has expressed plans to develop an electric vehicle platform, codenamed MEB, paving the way for mass production of an affordable electric car.

Russia set to develop new arsenal to counter US by 2021

President Vladimir Putin has delivers a speech that Russia is capable of developing a two new land-based missile, and had task the Russia military to start the new invention following to Washington’s planned exit from a landmark nuclear arms control pact.



The Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu stated that the designed invention is expected to completed before 2021.

The Russian military should start work on creating land-based launch systems for an existing ship-launched cruise missile, the Kalibr, and for longer-range hypersonic missiles which travel at least five times the speed of sound, he said.

Moscow and Washington accuse each other of violating the treaty and Putin said Russia had acted after the United States announced it was withdrawing from the pact.

U.S. disarmament ambassador Robert Wood the news agency that sponsored the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva on Tuesday that the United States would reconsider its withdrawal from the INF treaty “should Russia return to full and verifiable compliance.”
