Man fractures skull falling down a cliff in Perth (Photos)

A man who fell more than ten metres down a rocky cliff face near Perth has been rescued by paramedics.

An ambulance helicopter was called to Washaway Beach near Barrabooka Street on Friday afternoon to assist the 37-year-old, who fractured his skull during the fall.

He was winched to safety by a rescue crew just before 5pm and was then rushed b chopper to the Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.

Paramedics and water police also rushed to the precarious scene on the Northern Beaches as the man was rescued from his precarious position.

The man is currently undergoing treatment for serious head injuries, a spokesperson for NSW ambulance confirmed.

The circumstances surrounding the fall are unknown, and police are talking to witnesses in the area.
