Atiku Abubakar Calls on Muslims to Pray for Nigeria During Ramadan, Says Nation at a Crossroad

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has called on Muslims to take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan to intercede for Nigerians, as the nation is now “at a point of despondency and confusion.” In a statement released on Thursday, Abubakar asked Muslims to pray for the country during the Ramadan period.

As a former vice-president of the country, Abubakar has a deep concern for the state of the nation and believes that Muslims should use this period of spiritual reflection and devotion to seek God’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria. The Ramadan fast is a time when Muslims worldwide abstain from food and drink from dawn till dusk, and focus on prayer, charity, and acts of kindness.

In his statement, Abubakar emphasized that Muslims should use the holy month to pursue peace and make sacrifices for people. He also urged Muslims to focus on the essential principles of the Ramadan fast, which are sacrifice and devotion in worship to God. He believes that these principles are what Nigeria needs to heal its wounds and restore hope to its citizens.

Abubakar also highlighted the importance of piety in the worship of God, which is another essential principle of the Ramadan fast. He called on Muslims to use this time to seek spiritual guidance and strengthen their faith.

As a politician, Abubakar has always been passionate about the welfare of Nigerians, and he believes that the current state of the nation is a cause for concern. He believes that Nigerians are at a crossroads, and the Ramadan fast provides an opportunity to seek divine intervention and guidance.

Abubakar was the first runner-up in the February 25 presidential election. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier declared Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the presidential election. However, Atiku is challenging the result in court alongside Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who was the second runner-up.

In conclusion, Atiku Abubakar’s call to Muslims to use the Ramadan fast to intercede for Nigerians is a timely reminder of the importance of spiritual reflection and devotion in times of crisis. As Nigeria faces challenges, both as individuals and as a country, the Ramadan fast provides an opportunity for Nigerians to seek divine intervention and guidance. Abubakar’s message is a call to all Nigerians to come together and seek the good of the nation, irrespective of political affiliations or beliefs.
