President Buhari expresses trust in Nigerian Army To End Killings

President Muhammadu Buhari has once again expressed his administration’s commitment to put an end to every act of killing in the country.

The globally recognized first President in Africa who earned the sobriquet from the United States President, Donald Trump made re—affirmed his commitment to the safety of lives and properties in Nigeria after receiving briefing from the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai at the state house.

President Buhari who commended the efforts of the Chief of Army Staff in aligning with his vision on security, took to his official Facebook page to express his position of the efforts of the Nigerian Army.

The Chief of Army Staff on his part said that the Nigerian Army will continue to collaborate with other security agencies to carry out all the directives of the Commander -in- Chief to achieve strategic objectives of the Nigerian government.

On the war against terrorism, the Chief of Army Staff hinted that the Nigerian Army has activated the last onslaught agianst Boko Haram.

“The Nigerian Army is progressing very well and Nigerians should be rest assured that our ‘Operation Last Halt’ will further consolidate on the achievements so far made and we hope the Internally Displaced Persons in that area will go back to their communities and pick up their lives again,” he also added.

Nigeria: Council of State reaches final pegs new minimum wage at 27,000

The National Council of State presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sum of N27,000 as the new minimum wage.



The national council approved the sum during an ongoing meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting had in attendance former presidents like Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, among others.

Nollywood actor, Ishow Larry is dead

Nollywood actor, Adewale Olarenwaju fondly called ‘Ishow Larry’ has been announced dead.




Ishow Larry was said to have been briefly ill before he suddenly died on January 21, 2019.

A friend, Olatubosun Abegunde, lamented his demise on Facebook.

Late Ishow Larry began his career as a makeup artist in the industry before becoming an actor and produced his own movies including “Ole“, “Agbara” and others.

He wrote: “Its so sadden to announce the death of this my troublesome friend Olanrewaju Ishow Larry … The Producer of OLE and many more … He featured in one of my Movies, Oje Laye … Heaven knows I can’t stop mourning over your death .. May Your Gentle Soul Rest In Perfect Peace..”
