Force PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, urges those with evidence to file cases against Mc Oluomo over attack allegations

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has recently spoken out about allegations of attacks against the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Association, Musiliu Akinsaya, commonly known as Mc Oluomo. In response to a Twitter user, AjammaS, who claimed that Adejobi and the police had failed to protect voters during the elections, Adejobi stated that anyone with evidence against Mc Oluomo could file a case of attack against him.

AjammaS had accused Adejobi of encouraging people to take Mc Oluomo’s remarks about the Igbo people as a joke and promising them safety during the elections. AjammaS alleged that voters were subsequently attacked by Mc Oluomo and his boys, resulting in fatalities, injuries, and hospitalizations.

Adejobi responded by urging AjammaS to file an attack case against Mc Oluomo if he had evidence of attacks against him. He also emphasized that he lacked immunity and that many people, including lawyers and the Deputy Governor of Lagos, had previously stated this.

Adejobi had previously described Mc Oluomo’s threat against Igbo people as a joke in a viral video. In response to the video, Adejobi said that Mc Oluomo had come out to debunk the threat, and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos had also dismissed it. He urged Lagosians to go out and vote for the candidate of their choice.

However, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, had stated that Mc Oluomo and the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, would be held accountable if they were found guilty of breaking the law during the elections. Hamzat clarified that he was not calling for the arrest of anyone but emphasized that the facts should be examined, and if Mc Oluomo had broken the law, he must face the consequences.

The situation raises questions about the role of police in ensuring voter safety during elections and the accountability of public figures for their actions. While Adejobi has urged those with evidence of attacks to file cases against him, it remains to be seen how the case will progress and whether justice will be served for the victims of the alleged attacks.
