al-Mahdi, Sudanese opposition leader arrested by security Forces.

A female opposition leader Mariam Sadiq al-Mahdi’s  has been arrested by Sudanese security forces according to her sister Rabah.

Her sister said two security vehicles picked her from her home on Wednesday morning. Mariam is deputy head of the main opposition party led by her father.

Their father Sadiq al-Mahdi is the main opposition leader in the country riled by anti-government protests since December 2018. al-Mahdi only returned to the country late last year after self-imposed exile.



The authorities have yet to respond to the news and to explain her detention. Her father, 83, a former Prime Minister, last week called on embattled president Omar al-Bashir to resign. Bashir has repeatedly said the only exit plan he recognized was through the ballots.

The arrest also came in less than 24-hours after the Sudanese intelligence chief announced that all persons detained in connection with the protests were due to be released.

Meanwhile reports indicate that the protest pressure doesn’t seem like abating in the wake of calls for more rallies, this time by varsity lecturers in the capital, Khartoum.

Reports confirm that the academics are asking for a peaceful transfer of power stressing that with the political and economic factors that birthed the protests still prevalent, the protests will continue to roll on.

Absa Bank Of South Africa’s  has become the Latest Multinational Corporation to show Interest in Organizing the Ethiopia market.

Ethiopia has since Prevented Foreign Ownership in Economic Sectors that Includes Banking but Abiy Ahmed has began to take fast Action on the issue since he came to power in April.



Jason Quinn, the bank’s chief financial officer, told reporters that Absa was investigating on how and where to enter in a number of populating market, including Nigeria and Angola.

Am Entrance made into the Ethiopia market of 100 million People, would be part of a Scheme made by Absa after it break from Britain’s Barclays in 2017.

Black box of the Ethiopian Airline Crash recovered.

The United Nations described the Sunday crash of the Ethiopia airline as disastrous saying it has cost them a great loss.

Michael Moller, director-general of the U.N. European head garters said this was the worst loss suffered in years in Geneva in a statement where 150 people where gathered.
