Many children have fall victim to child marriage in africa.

In view of this norm in our society, Parents who gave out their young daughters to early marriage practice such because of their tradition/ cultural belief.

Most young girls grew up being denied of parental care, education and breach of Human right.

The multi dollar question is, DO THE VICTIMS AT ONE POINT REGRET WHO THEY TURN TO BE?..
Yes, i think so, the genesis of it is that, they can’t speak up because of sociological issues that influence them within their society.

lets define the word tradition, It’s part of culture that is passed from person to person or generation to generation.
To shade more light to the above definition, (it’s a lifestyle,Belief,Habits, accepted by a society or a nation as a way of life).

Most African countries still hold firm in ancient belief, they fail to embrace modern revolution, that’s why her leaders choose to throw deaf ear to it.

Malawi, Chad, Tanzania, Gambia are among few african countries to employ strict measures in eradicating child marriage.

According to UNICEF, over 14.2 million girls under the age of 15 years are getting married annually which is approximation of 39,000
girls daily.

It beats my imagination that Nigeria government are reluctant to sanction a proactive measures to scrap this ugly act in our society.
UNICEF reveals that 44% of girls in Nigeria are married before their 18th birthday and 18% of them are married before the age
of 15.

If the government do not want to enforce a minimum age of marriage legislation, African women should support recognised organisation to create more awareness on radio stations across the 36 states in Nigeria.

Every Africa women is unique, I urge them to engage in a proactove measures to save the upcoming generation.
