Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor Presented to the World

Published

on

Duke and Duchess of Sussex newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has finally been presented to the world in pictures, with Meghan declaring: “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.”

Speaking in St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle as her husband held their two-day-old child, Meghan added: “He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.” As they both laughed, Harry said: “I don’t know who he gets that from.”

Harry and Meghan presented their royal son to the world through posts on Instagram after he was named.

In the days after the baby boy’s birth, they had settled on Alexander, Arthur, James, Philip and Spencer as the most likely options, with their punters preoccupied with how the couple would honour the late Diana, Princess of Wales, but decided to call their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, they have also signified they will not use a title for their first born.

Archie means “genuine”, “bold” and “brave”, and is German in origin. Short for Archibald, it is now given as a name in its own right. It was the 18th most popular name for boys in England and Wales in 2017, according to the latest available figures from the Office for National Statistics.

Harrison means “son of Harry” so is likely to be a tribute to the duke

The baby could have become Earl of Dumbarton – one of Prince Harry’s subsidiary titles – or have been Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, but instead he will simply be Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

The singer R. Kelly was arrested by federal agents and New York Police Department officers in Chicago on Thursday on a new spate of federal sex crime charges, officials confirmed.

The 13-count indictment against Kelly includes charges of child pornography and obstruction of justice, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois told local media outlets.

Kelly, 52, has long faced allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. In February, he was arrested in Chicago and indicted on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four victims, including three underage girls. He was charged with 11 additional counts in May, including aggravated criminal sexual assault.

The charges involved incidents spanned from 1998 to 2010 and included alleged victims who were ages 13 to 16 at the time.

He has pleaded not guilty, and his attorney, Steve Greenberg told The Associated Press at the time of the initial charges that Kelly was “shellshocked” by the indictments.

Kelly was first tried in 2008 on charges stemming from claims he had sex with a teenage girl and filmed the encounter. But he was acquitted on all counts after the alleged victim refused to testify against him.

In March, “CBS This Morning” host Gayle King conducted a remarkable interview with Kelly in which she pressed him on the charges. The singer vehemently denied the accusations, pleading with King that he was “fighting” for his life. At one point he burst into tears, jumped out of his seat and screamed that he “didn’t do this stuff.”

“Hate me if you want to, love me if you want,” Kelly said during the interview. “But just use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I’ve been through — oh, right now I just think I need to be a monster, hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don’t let them eat, don’t let them out!”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Frees “crazed fan”

Published

on

The former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided not to press charges against the man who drop-kicked him in the back at an event in South Africa.

He made his intention known via a post on Twitter, after the footage of the two-footed lunge on the Hollywood legend at a sporting event in Johannesburg trended so well over the weekend.

The 71-year-old declared he was “moving on” after the viral video incident.
The star also said he hoped the unidentified male attacker – handed over to police after being wrestled to the ground security guards – uses the incident as a “wake-up call”.

“A lot of you have asked, but I’m not pressing charges. I hope this was a wake-up call, and he gets his life on the right track.”

Describing the man as “crazed fan”, event organisers said security had “responded swiftly by apprehending the offender and handing him over to police.”

Wayne Price, organiser of the Arnold Classic Africa event, said he believed the incident “was carefully planned by the offender, as he is known to the police for orchestrating similar incidents in the past”.
