‘Greatest comeback story in sport!’ Stars pay tribute to Tiger Woods

Both presidents were united in their admiration of Tiger Woods, the golfing phenomenon who returned to the top of the sporting world by winning the Masters on Sunday.

The 43-year-old’s win sent social media into a frenzy, with a host of stars rushing to congratulate the now 15-time major winner.

Downpour cripples weekend-start in Lagos

The early downpour that characterized the beginning of the weekend has left residents of some parts of Lagos struggling as the roads gets covered with water.

Anttention Media eye-witness reports that residents and motorists of some areas on the Island, particularly Agungi Area, Lekki, lagos state, were seen struggling to access the roads while business owners were full of complains.

In an interview, one of the residents who prefers anonymity, called for speedy reaction from Lagos state government in other to avert flooding as the season gets heavier.

He however appealed to residents on the axis to keep environmental rules, so as to allow free flow in the water ways, since this period is known for incessant rain in Nigeria,

Cazorla pen New deal for Villarreal

Villarreal veteran Santi Cazorla re-signed with the La Liga club, it was confirmed on Thursday.

Spain international midfielder Cazorla, 34, renewed for the 2019-20 season after impressing last term following his return to the Yellow Submarine.

The club announced the news on Thursday at a season ticket campaign presentation in the newly opened Plaza Pascual Font de Mora.

Cazorla was not at the event, but appeared in a video revealing that he had signed on for another season

“My only goal was to stay here and I appreciate the support of the club and coaching staff,” Cazorla said.

After re-joining Villarreal – where he left for Malaga in 2011 – from Arsenal, Cazorla scored seven goals and tallied 11 assists in 46 matches across all.
