Few days to the February 16 Presidential election in Nigeria, Independent National Electoral Commission Commission INEC has declared 33,972 permanent voter cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected in Bauchi state.
The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Bauchi State, Ibrahim Abdullahi made the disclosure during a stakeholders meeting on Tuesday in Bauchi.
Abdullahi said the stakeholders meeting which had security agents, leaders of political parties, religious leaders, civil society organizations and media practitioners in attendance, held at the state’s INEC office was important to inform concerned parties the level of preparedness of the commission and the state ahead of the February 16 and March 2 general elections.
He maintained that the commission has received all the required non-sensitive materials, adding that the last batch of materials is being offloaded at the central bank in which representatives of political parties will witness the distribution.
