Apostle Chibuzor Forgives Happie Boys, Extends Education Sponsorship in Nigerian or Benin Republic Universities

In the midst of controversy and allegations, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, a prominent clergyman, recently released a statement extending his grace and forgiveness towards his former proteges, popularly known as the ‘Happie Boys’. This announcement comes on the heels of serious accusations leveled against him by the aforementioned duo, who claimed they had been abandoned by the cleric in the distant nation of Cyprus.

To adequately understand the circumstances leading to this point, it is essential to revisit the series of events that unfolded. The ‘Happie Boys’ gained attention on the internet after they were dismissed from their jobs at a local eatery. Their termination resulted from recording and subsequently sharing an online video of themselves dancing whilst on duty – an act that was deemed inappropriate by their employers.

In a generous turn of events, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, touched by their unfortunate circumstances, arranged for them to be flown to Cyprus on scholarships. This was seen as an opportunity for them to better their circumstances and have access to quality education, a cause the cleric is known to champion passionately.

However, the relationship between the Apostle and the Happie Boys took a downward turn recently. On Tuesday, June 13, the boys took to social media to voice their grievances. They accused the clergyman of neglect, alleging that while they were taken care of for the initial six months upon their arrival in Cyprus, they had been abandoned since then. Further stirring the pot, they also shared a voice note online, featuring what they claim is the sound of the clergyman cursing them.

Reacting to these accusations, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere took to his Facebook page to provide a comprehensive explanation for the turn of events. The clergyman elucidated that the escalation in the Dollar exchange rate had imposed a heavy financial burden on him. As a generous benefactor funding the school fees of over 4,000 individuals in his scholarship program, the economic dynamics had severely strained his ability to continue the aid.

In light of this, he made the difficult decision to suspend the scholarship funding temporarily, holding out hope that the dollar would eventually depreciate. The Apostle also noted that he had communicated this situation to all the beneficiaries’ parents, presenting them with two viable options. They could either choose to return to Nigeria and continue their studies or opt for the neighboring Benin Republic as their educational hub.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere concluded his statement by expressing his forgiveness toward the Happie Boys. Despite the public accusations and strained relationship, the clergyman displayed remarkable grace and empathy. He invited the boys to continue their education at any university in Nigeria or the Benin Republic, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to their futures.

Thus, in the face of challenging circumstances and public allegations, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere continues to showcase a spirit of generosity and forgiveness. The story serves as a stark reminder of the complexities of philanthropy and the importance of understanding and compassion when unexpected hurdles emerge.
