Electricity Bill: Female Tenant Arrested for Killing Landlord by Squeezing Manhood During Dispute

In recent news, a 33-year-old woman named Ifeoma Ossai has been arrested for allegedly killing her 50-year-old landlord, Monday Surulere Oladele, over a minor disagreement. The incident was reported to the Sango Ota divisional headquarters by Olaleye Taiwo, who claimed that his brother, Oladele, had a dispute with his tenant over an electricity bill.

According to Taiwo’s report, during the argument, the tenant grabbed the landlord’s manhood and dragged him with it, causing him to fall on the ground. Oladele was then rushed to the General Hospital in Ota, where he ultimately passed away. The police were promptly notified, and the suspect was arrested for further investigation.

Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi stated that, during interrogation, the suspect claimed that the deceased had asked her to pay for the electricity bill. She refused, stating that she would only pay if the landlord kept his promise to connect water directly to her apartment. This disagreement eventually led to a physical altercation between the two parties, culminating in the suspect grabbing the landlord’s manhood and dragging him with it.

On interrogation, the suspect claimed that the deceased asked her to pay for the electricity bill, but she insisted that until water is directly connected to her apartment as promised by the landlord before she packed in she will not pay the electricity or any other utility bill.

“This led to a scuffle between them consequence upon which the suspect grabbed the manhood of the deceased and dragged him with it.

“The deceased subsequently slumped, and he was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty,” Oyeyemi said.

Sadly, the landlord was unable to recover from his injuries and passed away at the hospital. The corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination. Following the incident, Commissioner of Police Frank Mba ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.

This incident highlights the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect during disagreements, no matter how minor they may seem. It is essential to remember that violence is never the answer and can have dire consequences. We hope that justice is served in this case, and that both parties involved can learn from this tragic event.
