Rapper AKA: Five Suspects Arrested in Cape Town in Connection to His Shooting
Recent news reports from News24 have revealed that five men are currently being questioned in connection to the murder of South African rapper AKA. According to the news website, detectives from KwaZulu-Natal apprehended three of the suspects at a shopping center in Belhar, Cape Town on Sunday, after trailing them for two weeks. The remaining two suspects were reportedly arrested in the same neighborhood.
While these reports have not yet been confirmed by the police, the suspects will be transported to KwaZulu-Natal to face charges, according to IOL. The incident occurred in February, when AKA and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were shot outside a popular restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road.
The police have not provided any updates on the matter at this stage, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Netshiunda, a spokesperson for the police. He did, however, state that the police will provide progress on the matter in due course.
