Ariana Grande Returns $100k Engagement Ring to Pete Davidson

Following their recent breakup Ariana Grande has just returned the nearly $100,000 ring, which Pete specifically made for her five months after he gave her the massive 3-carat engagement ring.

“The ring was a huge symbol of their love and was hard to give up,” an insider spoke to HollywoodLife. “She’s still grieving the loss of the relationship and needs some time to adjust to life without Pete.” Despite the difficulty of handing the ring over, though, Ari did not hesitate to give it back after she pulled the plug on her engagement, TMZ reports.

HollywoodLife‘s source explains; “Calling off the engagement was Ariana’s choice, but she is still heartbroken and never wanted to hurt Pete, She can’t imagine being in another relationship right now, with Pete or anyone else.”

It’s obviously been a difficult few weeks for Ariana — in September, her ex, Mac Miller, tragically died from an apparent overdose at the young age of 26. Mac’s death took a toll on Ariana, who dated the rapper for more than a year before their split in April, and was the “tipping point” in her split from Pete, according to TMZ.

Ariana and Pete’s relationship was quite a whirlwind. News of her breakup from Mac was still fresh when the two were first linked, and less than one month after they got together, they were already engaged. She even dedicated an entire song on her album, Sweetener, to the SNL star, and named it after him!

Interestingly, Ari and Pete were spotted together on Oct. 13, less than 24 hours before news of their breakup broke. There didn’t look to be any trouble in paradise as she supported him at Saturday Night Live, so it’s unclear what made her decide to end things the very next day.

R. Kelly Reportedly Arrested In Chicago On New Federal Sex Crime Charges

The singer R. Kelly was arrested by federal agents and New York Police Department officers in Chicago on Thursday on a new spate of federal sex crime charges, officials confirmed.

The 13-count indictment against Kelly includes charges of child pornography and obstruction of justice, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois told local media outlets.

Kelly, 52, has long faced allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. In February, he was arrested in Chicago and indicted on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against four victims, including three underage girls. He was charged with 11 additional counts in May, including aggravated criminal sexual assault.

The charges involved incidents spanned from 1998 to 2010 and included alleged victims who were ages 13 to 16 at the time.

He has pleaded not guilty, and his attorney, Steve Greenberg told The Associated Press at the time of the initial charges that Kelly was “shellshocked” by the indictments.

Kelly was first tried in 2008 on charges stemming from claims he had sex with a teenage girl and filmed the encounter. But he was acquitted on all counts after the alleged victim refused to testify against him.

In March, “CBS This Morning” host Gayle King conducted a remarkable interview with Kelly in which she pressed him on the charges. The singer vehemently denied the accusations, pleading with King that he was “fighting” for his life. At one point he burst into tears, jumped out of his seat and screamed that he “didn’t do this stuff.”

“Hate me if you want to, love me if you want,” Kelly said during the interview. “But just use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I’ve been through — oh, right now I just think I need to be a monster, hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don’t let them eat, don’t let them out!”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Frees “crazed fan”

The former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided not to press charges against the man who drop-kicked him in the back at an event in South Africa.

He made his intention known via a post on Twitter, after the footage of the two-footed lunge on the Hollywood legend at a sporting event in Johannesburg trended so well over the weekend.

The 71-year-old declared he was “moving on” after the viral video incident.
The star also said he hoped the unidentified male attacker – handed over to police after being wrestled to the ground security guards – uses the incident as a “wake-up call”.

“A lot of you have asked, but I’m not pressing charges. I hope this was a wake-up call, and he gets his life on the right track.”

Describing the man as “crazed fan”, event organisers said security had “responded swiftly by apprehending the offender and handing him over to police.”

Wayne Price, organiser of the Arnold Classic Africa event, said he believed the incident “was carefully planned by the offender, as he is known to the police for orchestrating similar incidents in the past”.
