PDP sympathize with CAN over General secretary loss.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday, described the death of General Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Musa Asake, as shocking and painful.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, in Abuja, the party said that the demise of Asake’s death as big blow to humanity.



“We note that the death of Rev. Asake, who was known for his devotion to peace and defence of the downtrodden, is a big blow, not only to the Christian community but also the entire nation and humanity.

The PDP extols Asake for his exemplary lifestyle, teachings and piety, especially in the pursuit of peace and unity of our dear nation.”

The party condoled with the Christian community, officials of the CAN, the government and people of Kaduna state as well as the Asake family for the loss.

It prayed to God to comfort the deceased’s family and his flock and give them the grace to bear “the huge loss”.

Court ruling that upheld Tshisekedi’s election restores Internet in DR Congo.

Internet was restored across the DRC on Sunday after the Constitutional Court’s affirmation of Felix Tshisekedi as president-elect.

The service was cut twenty days ago with the government defending the move as part of efforts to preserve national security. It was to avert the publication of unofficial results of the December 30, 2018 polls.



An RFI journalist covering the country also reported that the French broadcaster’s signal had been restored in the capital, Kinshasa after it was disrupted about three weeks ago without an official explanation.

Meanwhile reports indicate that Tuesday January 22 has been slated as the day of investiture of the new president. Tshisekedi will take over from Joseph Kabila who has been president for the past 18 years.

Popular Nigerian singer, Harrison Tare Okiri also known as Harrysong has finally reconciled with his former label mate, Kcee, and boss, E-money.




Harrysong who declared that he will never bite the finger that fed him, wrote on Instagram, “I had a great time at my listening party yesterday and it gave me time to reflect as I watched my young bro Skiibii perform his hit song Sensima

The ‘Under the duvet’ crooner said he had to make peace with himself by resolving issues with those who made impact in his life.
