Sadly, it appears that the miscreants at the unit were deliberately frustrating the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials’ attempts to carry out a smooth process in the Ago area. This is a worrying trend and highlights the need for greater protection for voters and election officials alike.
The events in Ago Palace Way are a stark reminder of the challenges facing elections in Nigeria. The country has a history of electoral violence, which often leads to loss of lives and property. It is therefore critical that the authorities take swift action to ensure that the upcoming elections are peaceful and free of violence.
